AEBAS is a real-time monitoring attendance system formulated by the Indian Government for the government employees itself to enhance their productivity. The Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) authenticates the employees utilizing Aadhaar number, generated by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
The Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System supports two types of authentication modes:-
To authenticate the identity by verifying the fingerprint impression or entering the Aadhaar number.
To display RFID Smart Card linked with an Aahdaar number and verifying the identity through fingerprint impression.

1Upon smart card ID or fingerprint input, the attendance request is sent to the central server with the Aadhaar number on the smart card, fingerprint or iris image and date/timestamp.
2The Aadhaar number mapped with the smart card or fingerprint image captured is sent to the Aadhaar server by the Central server for authentication.
3The Aadhaar server sends an authentication response to the central server. On valid authentication, the attendance record is stored on the AEBAS server, generating an attendance authentication report.
4The attendance server (AEBAS server) will send the Sucess/Fail response of an employee to the system.
